Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
The Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech ) offers graduates their degrees in five fields. These five fields are Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics, Environmental Science & Engineering, and Bioengineering. In Chemistry, graduates are offered degree programs in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. In Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics, graduates may earn various degrees, such as a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry. Graduates pursuing an education in Environmental Science & Engineering at Cal Tech are required to earn a Ph.D. degree. In Bioengineering, graduates are mostly offered the chance to earn a Ph.D. In some special cases, students are admitted to earn a Master of Science Degree.
