UC Davis
The University of California, Davis, or more commonly known as UC Davis, is one of the United State’s top public research universities. The graduate program at UC Davis includes a diverse and interactive student body from many different areas of the world. UC Davis offers over 85 majors for graduate students, from Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry to Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology. Graduates can earn two different types of degrees: Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in these fields. UC Davis’s graduate program also has a Postdoctoral Scholars program, a postdoctoral scholar is a student who has been awarded or completed the requirements for a doctoral degree or a foreign equivalent or one of another requirements given by the university. Postdoctoral Scholars will attend a full-time program of advanced and research and training approved by a department or research unit under the university. Graduates attending UC Davis also have chances in financial support. The financial support comes in several forms: financial aid, fellowships, and teaching and research assistantships. Graduate students may work while attending UC Davis to help support themselves, while maintaining certain academic standards. Graduates attending UC Davis have many chances at earning a Master’s or Doctoral degree as well as work as a postdoctoral scholar.
