University of Alabama
The University of Alabama offers three different types of degrees that graduates may earn. These degrees are a Master’s Degree, a Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree, and an Educational Specialist Degree. Graduates may earn these degrees in the University of Alabama’s nine colleges, schools, and interdisciplinary programs. These colleges and schools are the College of Arts & Sciences, the college of Commerce & Business, the College of Communication & Information Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Engineering, the College of Human Environmental Sciences, the College of Nursing, and the School of Social Work. Graduates may earn these degrees in any of the University of Alabama’s 151 majors. These majors range from Materials Metallurgical Engineering to Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics to Applied Statistics to Early Childhood Education. Graduates attending the University of Alabama are also offered many opportunities to earn financial support. There are various forms of financial support offered to graduates, from the McNair Graduate Fellowships to Departmental Scholarships & Grants to the Alumni Heritage Graduate Scholarship. Graduates attending the University of Alabama are offered over 100 different majors in which they may earn one of three degrees as well as opportunities at financial support.
