School of Public Policy

            The Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago offers graduates several degree programs as well as several non-degree programs. There are three degree programs at the Harris School of Public Policy: the Master’s Degree Programs, the Ph.D. Program, and the Joint Degree Programs.  There are seven Master’s Degrees Programs, varying from Master of Public Policy (MPP) to Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Relations.  Graduates wishing to earn a Ph.D. must take at least 27 courses, including the core courses.  There are such core courses as Political Institutions and the Policy Process.  The Harris School of Public Policy also offers several Joint Degrees.  There are six Joint Degree Programs.  These Joint Degree Programs are offered with the other departments, centers, programs.  The departments, centers, and programs that the Joint Degrees are offered with are the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, the Divinity School, the Graduate School of Business, the Law School, the School of Social Service Administration, and the Professional Option Program with the College.  There are two non-degree programs at the Harris School of Public Policy: the Certificate Program in Health Administration and Policy and the Graduate Student-at-Large Program.  The Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago offers graduates a variety of degrees and courses so that they may choose what they need to succeed in their future careers.
