School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

The Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at the University of the Pacific offers graduate students a variety of fields in which they may earn a Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree and a Master of Science (M.S.) Degree. There are over 5 different degrees graduates may earn, from Doctor of Pharmacy to Master of Science in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences. Graduates may earn these degrees in the fields of Physiology & Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics & Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacy Practice, Speech-Language Pathology, and Physical Therapy. In Physiology & Pharmacology, graduates may study Cell Culture, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Radiotracer and Electrophysiological Studies. Graduates wishing to earn a degree in Pharmaceutics & Medicinal Chemistry may do so in many fields, and may use specialized laboratories to study such fields as Natural Products Isolation and Computational Chemistry. There are over 100 teaching hospitals and related locations in which graduates may earn hands on experience. Graduates may earn a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in one of two programs that fits the amount of time that they wish to study in the field. Graduates may earn a Doctoral Degree in the field of Physical Therapy. Graduates attending the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at the University of the Pacific are offered a wide array of fields in which they may earn Doctoral or Master’s Degrees.
