Carnegie Mellon University or simply Carnegie Mellon is a private United States university. Carnegie’s undergraduate acceptance rates are usually between 20% and 30%. Undergraduate tuition is generally between $35,000 and $40,000. The University has seven colleges and schools: The Carnegie Institute of Technology (engineering), the College of Fine Arts, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Mellon College of Science, the Tepper School of Business, the School of Computer Science, and the H. John Heinz III College. Carnegie Mellon’s classes in computer science, engineering, business, public policy, psychology, and the arts are usually among the best in their fields. Carnegie Mellon is ranked in the top 30 universities of the nation and normally ranks in the top 60 of the world. Carnegie Mellon has several traditions in its history, including The Fence, Mobot, Spring Carnival, Buggy, Autographing the Green, The Kiltie Band. Carnegie Mellon is unfortunately not very great in athletics. They have never won a national championship in any sport.
