Fu School of Engineering
The Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science at Columbia University offers its undergraduates courses and research through the departments of: Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Earth and Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and Mechanical Engineering and has programs in Computer Engineering and Materials Science. In these fields, undergraduates may earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree. In Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, there are courses in such subjects as Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy and Solid-State Physics. In Chemical Engineering, undergraduate may take such courses as Biophysical and Soft Matter Physics, Genomics Engineering, and Bioinductive and Biomimetic Materials. There are over 10 fields in which undergraduates may earn degrees in Civil Engineering. In Mechanical Engineering, there is research in such fields as Biomechanics and Mechanics of Materials and Control, Design, and Manufacturing.
