Dartmouth College is one of the Ivy League schools for higher educations. Dartmouth undergraduate students are expected to engage in a single major, gain a broad introduction to several other fields, and take part in interdisciplinary work that integrates different courses. Dartmouth’s undergraduate program is one of the finest in the United States. Dartmouth has 29 undergraduate academic departments, ranging from such subjects as Anthropology and Engineering Services. Dartmouth has 10 academic programs divided into four divisions: the humanities, the sciences, the social sciences, and interdisciplinary programs. There are two degrees in which undergraduates can earn degrees in: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Engineering, which undergraduates can earn from the Thayer School of Engineering. Dartmouth offers its undergraduates over 50 majors in which to choose from. Undergraduates attending Dartmouth have the opportunity to research with a Dartmouth College faculty member. Students acquire firs hand experience in an academic field of research while developing skills in which they may need in the future.
