Dance Division
The Dance Division at the Julliard School offers an undergraduate program that results in the undergraduate earning either Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (B.F.A.) if they take the liberal arts requirements, or just a Diploma if they do not earn the required number of liberal arts credits. Undergraduates are required to take sixteen courses. They are Ballet; Modern Dance; Partnering; Repertory, Collaborations, Performance; Acting; Anatomy; Elements of Performing; Alexander Technique; Dance Composition; Dance History; Literature and Materials of Music; Stagecraft and Production; Seminar for Seniors; Dance Elective Humanities; and Liberal Arts Elective. Aside from the required courses, undergraduates may take course in the fields of Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Voice, and Repertory Solos. These additional courses range from Voice for Dancers and Classical Solos to Men and Women. The Dance Division at the Julliard School offers undergraduates an opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts through its courses.
