School of Science
The School of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) offers undergraduates courses in Biology, Brain & Cognitive Sciences, Chemistry, Earth, Atmosphere and Planetary Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics. There are over 15 courses in the field of Biology, ranging from Organic Chemistry to Thermodynamics and Kinetics. In the field of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, there are over 30 courses in various subjects, such as Statistics for Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Infant and Early Childhood Cognition. In Chemistry, there are over 20 courses that undergraduates may take, in such fields as Kinetics of Enzyme Inhibition to Dinitrogen Cleavage. In Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, there are over 50 courses in such fields as Analytical Techniques for Studying Environmental and Geologic Samples and Applications of Continuum Mechanics to Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences. In the field of Mathematics, undergraduates are offered over 15 fields in which they may earn degrees, in such fields as Complex Variables with Applications. Undergraduates are offered over 10 different fields in which they may earn degrees in Physics, in such fields as Quantum Physics. Undergraduates attending the School of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are offered a wide variety of courses in five fields.
