Rockefeller University

The Rockefeller University is a private university that is more of an “all-rounder” university as opposed to a primarily science or law university. This university is one of the highest producers of students who go on to win the Nobel Prize. There are over 20 Nobel Prize winners from Rockefeller and counting! Some of these people include: Stanford Moore, Paul Nurse, and Wendell Stanley. In addition, Rockefeller University has had multiple scientific discoveries including the fact that DNS is the chemical basis of heredity, that viruses can cause cancer, discovery of different blood groups, created a plan for therapy of AIDS, the discovery of the structure of antibodies and many more. Unusually, this university does not have many alumni, and only a handful of alumni that really stood out. And of course we cannot forget that this university is named after the famous John Rockefeller. Rockefeller’s legend of his riches is one of the reasons students are sometimes attracted to this school.
