School of Humanities and Sciences

Undergraduates attending the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University can earn degrees in such fields as Economics, Biological Sciences, Political Science, Computer Science, Psychology, International Relations, English, Management, Science, and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. There are three departments in which theses fields are divided: the Humanities Departments, the Natural Sciences Departments, and the Social Sciences Departments. The Humanities Departments are Art & Art History, Asian Languages, Classics, Drama, English, History, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, a swell as a Division of Literatures, Cultures & Languages. The Natural Sciences Departments are Applied Physics (the Applied Physics department does not offer an undergraduate major), Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. The Social Sciences Departments at the School of Humanities and Sciences are Anthropology, Communication, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.
