UC Davis

University of California Davis, more commonly known as UC Davis, is one of the United State’s top public research universities. The undergraduate program at UC Davis is designed to support an enriching learning experience. There are four colleges undergraduates may attend: College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Biological Sciences, College of Engineering, and College of Letters and Sciences. Over 100 undergraduate majors are divided between these four colleges. These majors vary from Aeronautical Science & Engineering to Medieval & Early Modern Studies. Along with these focuses of education, undergraduates may take other minors so that their education may vary. Undergraduates may take such minors as Anthropology and Sociology. UC Davis encourages its undergraduates to take advantage of research opportunities that are offered. UC Davis offers a wide range of campus-based research opportunities, such as the Undergraduate Research Center. Undergraduates attending UC Davis also have the chance of studying abroad. Undergraduates can study in over 30 different countries, such as The Netherlands and Egypt. UC Davis also offers undergraduates financial aid. Undergraduates are offered grants, loans, and scholarships as means of earning financial aid. They can also participate in the Federal Work-Study program and Student Employment Center in which they would work and earn valuable experience. Undergraduates attending the University of California Davis have many chances in earning valuable hands on experience as well as having a rich and fulfilling education.
