School of the Arts and Architecture
The School of the Arts and Architecture at the University of California, Los Angeles offers undergraduates a variety of courses. There are six departments at the School of the Arts and Architecture. They are Architecture and Urban Design, Art, Design/Media Arts, Ethnomusicology, Music, and World Arts and Cultures. In the Architecture and Urban Design Department, undergraduates may earn a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies. There are a variety of courses that the department offers, which range from Architectural Design: Landscape and City Studio to Modernism and the Metropolis. In the Arts Department, undergraduates may take courses in a variety of subjects, such as painting and drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and many others. The Department of Design/Media Arts are offered a wide variety of fields for courses, in such subjects as Typography and Interactivity. The Department of Ethnomusicology offers two main fields for majoring: jazz studies and world music. In the Department of World Arts and Cultures may earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. There are two main concentrations of study: Dance and World Arts & Cultures. The School of the Arts and Architecture at UCLA offers undergraduates a variety of courses through its six departments.
