Biological Sciences Collegiate Division

The Biological Sciences Collegiate Division at University of Chicago offers undergraduates two general education sequences: Education Sequences for Majors and General Education Sequences for Non-Majors. There are two Education Sequences for Majors: Biology Concentrations and Pre-Health Professionals. In the Biology Concentration, there are many fields in which undergraduates may specialize in. They may specialize in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolution, Genetics, Immunology, Microbiology, and more. There are two variants of the General Education Sequences for Non-Majors. The first one involves Natural Sciences and Environmental Sciences, while the second involves Core Biology and courses of the student’s choice. Undergraduates also have the opportunity to participate in research. There are several research programs, such as Physical and Chemical Biology Training Program and the Beckman Scholars Program in Molecular Sciences. The Biological Sciences Collegiate Division at the University of Chicago offers undergraduates a variety of education sequences as well as many opportunities to participate in research.
