College of Computers

The College of Computer, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park has five departments in which it offers undergraduates their degrees. These departments are Astronomy, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics. In the Astronomy Department, undergraduates are offered a wide variety of courses, from Theoretical Astrophysics to Orbital Dynamics. In the Computer Science Department, undergraduates are offered courses varying from Organization of Programming Languages to Computer and Network Security to Concurrent and Distributed Systems. Undergraduates in the Department of Geology may earn a Bachelor of Science in Geology by taking a variety of courses, from Stratigraphy and Sedimentation to Physical Geology and Laboratory. In the Department of Mathematics, , undergraduates may take such courses as Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra & Differential Equations to Diffential Forms and their Applications. In the Physics Department, undergraduates are offered various courses such as General Physics: Mechanics and Particle Dynamics to Statistical Mechanics.
