University of Pennsylvania
The University of Pennsylvania, also known as UPenn, is a private university and one of the United State’s oldest colleges. The founder of UPenn was Benjamin Franklin. UPenn is an Ivy League school. Similar to other Ivy Leagues, it is difficult to be accepted into the University of Pennsylvania. A little over 2,000 undergraduates are accepted each year. UPenn has four undergraduate programs: The School of Arts & Sciences, The School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), The School of Nursing and The Wharton School. The school is also strong in some areas of computer science and artificial intelligence. On average, UPenn is in the top ten of the United States, and in the top 25 of the world. UPenn’s sports teams are dubbed the “Quakers”. The Quakers are fairly successful in football and in basketball they haven’t been unlucky. Other than those two sports, UPenn has not made their name yet.
