University of Southern California is one of the world’s leading private research universities and known for their stellar sports programs.  USC’s undergraduate program offers an innovative undergraduate curriculum that incorporates liberal and professional training.  USC undergraduates can earn degrees in the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, as well as in its 17 professional schools and schools of arts.  USC also offers around 120 different minors, the broadest collection of any United States university, and encourages students to study widely separated fields.  In addition to the broad collection of majors and minors offered to undergraduates at USC, it offers opportunities to students to participate in research with faculty, study abroad, and learn by serving the community.  The undergraduate program at USC recognizes many achievements by their students.  There are special programs that recognize students for such achievements as outstanding achievement in two or more fields of study (Renaissance Scholars). At USC, over 60% of the students receive some form of financial assistance.  In 2007, USC Grants and Scholarships gave around $167 million in financial aid.  In addition to grants and scholarships, grants and loans adding to a total of over $140 million were given to USC students.  University of Southern California’s undergraduate program is an amazing place for a student to earn their undergraduate degree.
