Kaplan University
Kaplan University is part of the Iowa College Acquisition Corporation. Kaplan University is mostly a distance learning institution that is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and Kaplan University is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). Concord Law School recently merged with Kaplan University in 2007 and changed its name to Concord Law School of Kaplan University. Concord is not recognized by the American Bar Association, which does not accredit any type of online university, but students with non-ABA-accredited law degrees are permitted to take California’s bar examination and practice law after admittance. Kaplan University offers multiple degrees in bachelors and masters as well as other certificates in fields such as education, business, information technology, arts and sciences, healthcare, nursing, criminal justice, and law. This amazing university currently teaches more than 30,000 online students. These students take classes from home to fit their schedule and get the same education as regular Kaplan students, except that the online students do not have to physically go to classrooms and such.
