Ecole Polytechnique
The École Polytechnique (Polytechnic) is the most elite French school in the area of engineering. It is also world-widely ranked as one of the top 20 universities. This college’s entrance exam is very competitive and intense that some students get 4 hours of sleep every night, one month prior to the test, and still do not get accepted. Polytechnic has produced some of the most prodigious and successful people in all of time. The École polytechnique is a higher education organization run by the French ministry of Defence. Ecole is not a military academy anymore but it is still headed by a general. However, the military aspects of the college have lessened over time as prosperity settled over the world after World War II. The École polytechnique has an undergraduate/graduate combined engineering teaching curriculum in addition to a graduate school. Ecole Polytechnique has many laboratories for different subjects including physics, mathematics, computer science, economics, chemistry and more.
