ETH Zurich
ETH Zürich, less commonly known as Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich and more normally known as “Poly”, is a university strong in science and technology and is located in Switzerland. Unlike many other colleges and universities inside the small country of Switzerland, ETH Zürich is consistently ranked in the top universities of the world. Of course, taking first in Switzerland is almost a given for them as well. As for European rankings, they are generally in the top five which is an amazing achievement. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on the person, ETH Zürich does not and is not allowed to be selective in their admissions. Because ETH Zürich is a public university, they are required by law to accept every undergraduate applicant who took Matura. Foreign admittance can be more selective by testing. ETH Zürich offers over 25 different course subjects, most of which revolve around science and engineering. In interesting event about ETH Zürich is their Polyball. This Polyball invites over 10,000 people to come dance and have fun at an ETH Zürich ball/social event.
