Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the most influential universities in all of China. The university is currently under the control of the Shanghai government. Ever since it was opened, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has been the leading college of research and higher education within China. There are 60 undergraduate programs, 179 master-degree programs, 6 professional master-degree programs, 22 disciplines and 143 sub-disciplines authorized to confer PhD degrees, 23 post-doctorate programs, 22 state key doctorate programs, six state key laboratories and four national engineering centers. There are over thirty eight thousand (38,000) students that attend Shanghai Jiao Tong University each year. Of these 38K attendants, over 19,000 are undergraduates, and over 15,000 are graduates. These students are offered 20 different academic schools which are: Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic, Information and Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Life Science and biotechnology, Humanities, Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Economics and Management, International and Public Affairs, Foreign Languages, Agriculture and Biology, Environmental Science and Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Medical, Law, Media and Design, Micro-electronics, Information Security Engineering and Software Engineering. This premier Chinese university obviously has a lot to offer.
